Dean’s Reading Society

We love READING at SBH! And to encourage our students to read more living books, our Dean has put together a list of books for grades 3rd and above. SBH students are encouraged, but not required to participate in this opportunity.

If students successfully read 10 books off the Dean’s Reading List for their age level (Your children may choose books from the lists one grade lower to anything higher, depending on their level and parent approval) by the end of the school year, they will join the Dean’s Reading Society. 

Parents, please keep track of books at home by making a sheet that lists book read, date started, and date finished. When completed, you may bring it to Aunty Ashley or take a picture and message Aunty Ashley on Slack. Submissions must be turned in sometime in April. The luncheon will be sometime late April. (Each book in a trilogy is worth “one book”). Mahalo!
