SBH Board of Trustees

  • Rev. Dr. Chris Bruno

    Chris, originally from the Midwest, has lived in Hawaii on and off for the past 13 years. He holds a PhD from Wheaton College, and has done additional studies at the University of Chicago Divinity School and the University of Oxford. He has taught at Northland International University, Cedarville University, and Trinity Christian School. He has written and co-written six books, as well as numerous articles and reviews. He is currently the President of Oahu Theological Seminary in partnership with Training Leaders International. He and his wife Katie have four boys: Luke, Simon, Elliot, and Noah. They are members at All Saints Honolulu where he is an assistant priest.

  • Ashley Dart

    Ashley grew up in Floria and attended Louisiana State University. She taught at Trinity Christian School for 6 years, and Saint Benedict Hall for 2 years prior to the 25/26 school year. She and her husband Matthew attend All Saints Anglican Church. They have three grown children (one of whom is a proud SBH graduate!) who now all attend college on the mainland. Ashley is the Dean of Culture and sits on the SBH Board ex officio.

  • Dan Douglass

    Dan Douglass was born and raised in Hawaii, and has a passion to see God’s Kingdom grow and mature in the islands through churches and schools. He attends Christ the Foundation Anglican Church, and serves at the CTF music director. Dan has served as the Chair of the SBH Board since 2022.

  • Meghan Helton

    Meghan grew up in North Carolina and went to  North Carolina State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. She has had the privilege of homeschooling for nine years and been a part of the SBH community since 2023. Meghan, her husband Matt, and their boys are members at All Saints Church. She is excited to be a part of the board and give perspective as a homeschool parent with elementary, middle school, and approaching high school students.

  • Josiah Marquez

    Josiah grew up as a homeschool student here on Oahu, and went on to receive a PhD in Plant Pathology. He attends Christ the Foundation Anglican Church and has served on the church’s Parish Council since 2023. He is excited to be a part of the board and help SBH grow, flourish, and cultivate virtue and leaders for the next generation.

  • Dcn. Ben Moore

    Dcn Ben has been the SBH Program Director since 2019, and has been on the SBH school board since 2018. He is passionate about ministering to students and families in our classical Christian collaborative model. Fr. Mark serves on the board in ex officio capacity.

  • Dcn. James Mueller

    Dcn. James grew up in South Central PA and moved to Hawaii in 2019. He completed his undergraduate degree in 2017 at Messiah University with a double major in History and French Language Studies. After graduating, he studied Chinese at the Presidio of Monterey in California for two years and has worked as a Chinese linguist ever since. He and his wife, Marissa, have been married since 2017 and have four children: Wesley, Augustine, Kaileʻa, and Eden. James has attended and served at All Saints since 2019 and was ordained to the diaconate in May of 2025. 

  • Monika Wurlitzer

    Monika grew up around the world before attending high school in Hawaiʻi. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of San Francisco and her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Hawai‘i, William S. Richardson School of Law. She is blessed to be able to practice law while raising her three wonderful kids. Her family attends First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu at Ko‘olau.
